  • National trainer/consultant with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Transgender Workgroup (under VHA Patient Care Services) via SCAN-ECHO (similar to telehealth) and to E-Consultation on sensitive transgender health care (2011-2016).

  • Actively engaged in consultation with a team of medical and mental health providers in Minnesota, as well as bimonthly, with the University of Indiana LGBTQ & ECHO clinic via TransECHO.

  • Served on the board of Rainbow Health Initiative for six years and presented at their Opportunity Conference in 2017 on the topic of transgender health care.

  1. Awarded a national certificate from the LGBT Veteran Services ICARE Certificate in recognition of the Core Value of Commitment working diligently to serve veterans and other beneficiaries, driven by an earnest belief in VA’s mission by the Directors of LGBT Program, Office of Patient Care Services (2015).

  2. Certificate of Appreciation by VHA Diversity and Inclusion Office for development and published nationwide VA Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Patient Group Directory(2014).

  3. Integral in the development of the first LGBT Employee Resource Group at Hennepin County Medical Center, which has served as a model to build other ethnic and cultural resource groups (2010).
